In addition, I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and I maintain a private practice in Greensboro, NC. I served eight years in the U.S. Army as a Combat Medic and worked in the corporate environment for over 20 years. This has enabled me unique insight to the challenges of transitioning between careers and life styles.

Monica Bennett, Marriage and Family Therapist Intern
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, working under the supervision of Matthew Sixberry, LMFT. I am training to specialize in individual, couples, and family therapy. I strive to provide clients with the foundation needed to improve their current situation and assist them along the course of life. Through establishing positive communication styles, creating healthy coping skills, and other tools beneficial to handling stressful situations, I aim to assist clients in better managing life stressors. I personalize each approach to therapy based on the individuality of the client’s specific needs. Together we can create hope and progress toward positive thoughts and healing. I pride myself on creating a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to recognize the strengths they already possess and branch off of to flourish.
I attained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Social Work, through the University of North Carolina Greensboro, where I graduated from Sigma Alpha Lambda. I am obtaining my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy through Northcentral University where I am currently a member of two honor societies Delta Kappa (The International Marriage & Family Therapy Honors Society), and The National Society of Leadership and Success.
