Ragen Birchall, Intern
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern working under the supervision of Matthew Sixberry, LMFT. I have a passion for working with people and want to specialize in couples, family and individual therapy so I am able to assist anyone in their journey to better their mental health. I believe that the home is the foundation of a happy and healthy life, so I have a systemic approach to how I work with clients so that everyone involved in the family unit feels seen and heard! Healthy open and honest communication is key and by working together to create these habits can ensure that your specific needs are being met.
I attained a BA degree in Criminal Justice from NC A&T State University in 2008 and a MA degree in Criminal Justice from Kaplan in 2012. I have worked as a youth counselor, probation officer and most recently as a Certified Drug & Alcohol Counselor with court involved adults. The 15+ years of working experience with people from all backgrounds and walks of life has provided me with a completely open-minded and nonjudgmental viewpoint of the world. I am currently in the MFT program at Capella where I am on the Dean’s List, and I am also a member of Delta Kappa (International Marriage & Family Therapy Honors Society).
I really appreciate you allowing me to work with you and I believe that together we can achieve great things! You are important and you matter to this world! I am available for appointments for a fee of $40.
